Well, our first race of the season is in the books. There was a nice turnout for the first endurance race, nice conditions and a long track (1.8 mi. for those that wondered) made for a great race day. The long track took it's toll on axles, clutches as a couple of the leaders had troubles. the #8 derry coffin who would have won easily broke a axle late, the #80 vern had tire issues after messing with the #9 saab, I broke a axle with 13 min. left, but the rookie in the #27 golf derek gannet/chris neptune kept it clean and in one piece and won it. congrats to them. Some of you might remember that car as it raced a couple of times with us.I believe the rennen group used to own it.
I would like to thank all of the scorers/corner workers/flagman for volunteering their time to get the race in smoothly.
On other notes, I realize there was alot of issues with the #9 saab. Corey and myself have had a discussion with him.hopefully he will learn from this, he's a good kid he just needs to calm down a bit. In the future, come to corey or myself and vent that's what we're here for. bob.k.

The car was bought brand new in my family back in 86. It has the rennen sticker on it cause 4yrs ago when I was at another job, a co-worker and I decided to try to make the VW run after sitting for 6yrs. It was parked with a broken left front shock. Rennen donated a corrado spring and shock to my friend as thats all they had that would work on a last min notice. The deal was we had to advertise them since they let us have the part for free. So thanks to Rennen for donating the part 4yrs ago. We had a blast, and want to thank everyone who put the race on. We are keeping our fingers crossed for cold weather for the next race! See you there, Thanks! Derek Gannett & Chris Neptune
